Join One Place Metro Alabama Family Justice Center for a special evening with reflections and remarks from Chris Wilson, author of “The Master Plan,” an inspiring, instructive and ultimately triumphant memoir of a man who used hard work and a Master Plan to turn a prison life sentence into a second chance.

Chris Wilson is an example of relentless hope in the face of adversity. Chris’ personal story and journey to self-improvement is a testament to his hard work and determination, even without full support from community systems. The difficulties Chris faced as a teenager are some that many children in the Jefferson County area are faced with every day, which is why One Place is pleased to welcome Chris to Birmingham. Chris and One Place believe that despite hardships and adversity in life, there is hope and our actions have a role in building a better tomorrow. We invite you to come hear Chris’ inspiring story and be hope-filled as our community works together to develop pathways to hope and healing in Jefferson County. All proceeds from this event will benefit One Place.
